Question 1

What is the difference between EPC and OPEX / RESCO delivery?

Accepted Answer

Under EPC, the customer owns the system and SORA delivers engineering, procurement and construction through to handover. Under OPEX / RESCO, the project is financed and operated as a service — power is contracted through an arrangement such as a PPA, and SORA (or the operating structure behind the project) keeps responsibility for performance and O&M through the contract term. The engineering work is the same; what changes is who funds it and who carries the operating risk.

Question 2

Which sectors do you work with?

Accepted Answer

Government, industrial, commercial, institutional, real estate and infrastructure projects — sectors where uptime, power quality and accountability actually matter. The engineering approach is shared across them; the approval route, operating conditions and maintenance reality are not, so the delivery plan is written per sector.

Question 3

Rooftop, ground-mounted or floating — can you handle all of them?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Commercial and industrial rooftop, residential rooftop, ground-mounted arrays, floating platforms and building-integrated options are all application formats we work in. Which one fits is decided after the site survey: available area, structural condition, water bodies and load profile together determine the right format.

Question 4

Can monitoring and SCADA be part of the project?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Energy monitoring can be scoped with the system from day one, so generation, storage state and alarms arrive in one place instead of being retrofitted later. SCADA-style supervision is available where the site — its control requirements and operating regime — actually calls for it.

Question 5

What does O&M cover after handover?

Accepted Answer

Planned maintenance and inspection cycles, responsive support when something needs attention, and reporting that keeps performance visible to the owner. Local training and spares planning ship with the handover so the system can be serviced here, not only by whoever installed it.

Question 6

How does an enquiry start?

Accepted Answer

Send the site location, an approximate load or duty, and a target date. We start with a site survey and load profiling, come back with sizing and a delivery model — EPC or OPEX / RESCO where relevant — and issue a proposal from there.
